Each week we write a bit about how our Bonne Foi Natural Skin Care line works. We also write about more generic solutions to skin care. Past Blog posts have addressed how nutrition can affect the way your skin looks. Now, after reading other articles about skin care, we have seen that our advice is also being given by others in their posts, and on the Medical Web Sites.
One such post was written about Jennifer Aniston and her skin care regimen:
“Jennifer Aniston thanks her Greek genes for her cool California glow, but the actress admits she’s starting to see a few negative effects from her years of sun worshiping.
“I’ve started getting those little sun spots,” she tells InStyle. “Things are beginning to pop out. Even the texture [of my skin] is changing. So I’ve recently started zapping the spots and getting spray tans whenever I can. And I’ve graduated to using SPF 60 sunblock when I’m on the beach.”
She quickly dispels any rumors of cosmetic enhancements, however. “People think that I do a lot of injections, but I don’t,” she states. “I’m not saying that I haven’t tried it … but I see how it’s a slippery slope.” Still, she plans to stay away for the time being. “All that cosmetic stuff looks ridiculous on me,” she shares.
Does most of what she says here sound familiar? If you check back in our blog posts, you will see that we have been telling everyone to use sunscreen. Our Bonne Foi products fade brown spots away. Over a short period of time those who use Bonne Foi skin care have seen the texture of their skin will also change, pores will appear smaller, and wrinkles will start to disappear. Bonne Foi, with its unique formula, works to rebuild your skin from the cellular level. And people will not need those shots and cosmetic procedures that Jennifer Aniston was talking about.
Age spots will face, wrinkles around the eyes and mouth will go away, smoother skin, and a younger, fresher look, what more could you ask for?

What does Bonne Foi mean? What does Bonne Foi do? How does it do it?
These are questions that I am getting more and more often. And whenever people ask questions, I know they are taking an interest in our natural skin care line, so I happily explain. I am excited about being a part of Bonne Foi’s natural skin and hair care company and the more that people understand the value of our natural skin and hair care products, the more apt they will be to use them!
To the first question: What does Bonne Foi mean? It means Good Faith. Bonne Foi’s products are products that have been developed using the finest ingredients, exhaustive research, and the highest of standards. But we made it our mission to keep our prices reasonable. We wanted a high-quality skin care product at an affordable price.
Okay, on to the second question: What does it do? In very simple terms, our system of products makes your skin smoother; it tightens pores, and nourishes your skin. It also makes wrinkles disappear, and takes away dry, flaky patches of skin. The Seaweed Extract formula will help plump up your skin, while the lactic acid product will gently exfoliate and take away the old, dead skin cells. The Keratin hair-care product infuses the hair shaft with Keratin, and makes your hair stronger and thicker.
Now, on to the last question: How does Bonne Foi work?
“In 2003 Dr. Peter Agre won the Nobel Prize in Chemistry for his ground-breaking discovery of aquaporins, the water-channel proteins that enable water molecules to pass directly through cell membranes. This work paved the way for Bonne Foi’s innovative natural skin care system, which opens up these water channels to allow even more moisture and nutrition to flow directly into your skin’s cells.
If you’re looking for a natural way to take the best possible care of your skin and hair, look into Bonne Foi’s unique products. Specially formulated to work for people of all ethnicities, and on a wide variety of skin and hair types and tones, Bonne Foi has no harsh chemicals and no toxins.
Although the surface of your skin is normally in a mildly acidic state, during the day your higher activity level increases this acidity. Unfortunately, this lack of pH balance – just at the time when your skin is also being battered by UV rays and exposed to chemicals, toxins and pollutants – helps to accelerate your skin’s aging process…. Although the surface of your skin is normally in a mildly acidic state, during the day your higher activity level increases this acidity. Unfortunately, this lack of pH balance – just at the time when your skin is also being battered by UV rays and exposed to chemicals, toxins and pollutants – helps to accelerate your skin’s aging process.
Bonne Foi’s mildly alkaline Cell Rejuvenation Tonic balances out your skin’s pH and opens up the molecular water channels into your skin’s cells, allowing the youth-enhancing nutrients of the Bonne Foi Day Serum to flow in.
Many sensitive-skinned men also find that the Cell Rejuvenation Tonic helps decrease the irritation caused by daily shaving.
Balances your skin’s pH level during the day. Opens up the water channels into your skin’s cells to prepare the skin to receive the youth-enhancing nutrients of the Bonne Foi Two Layers Day Serum.”
Bonne Foi is not just a product designed to make your skin look smoother. It is an entire system that will work together to rebuild your skin. You can use each of the products individually but, for the best possible results, using all–or most–of the products in the correct order is the way to go.
From those of us at Bonne Foi, we wish you a bright day filled with smiles and smooth, glowing skin!!

In the last post we talked about developing healthier eating habits a little at a time. Have a salad for lunch once or twice a week. Eat more fruits like strawberries or blueberries a couple of times a week. Each of these Resolutions leads to a more natural and healthy lifestyle. Even small changes will show on your face and your body. Let’s try just a couple more changes.
Before you leave the house, or even apply makeup,it is imporant put on sunscreen. How about this, instead of having to think about where your sunscreen is, store it right where you keep the rest of your Bonne Foi face natural skin care products. Make it a part of your daily routine. Keep your Bonne Foi face wash right in the shower. Once you have rinsed off, and just before you get out of the shower, use the cleanser to wash your face.
Now, how about another small resolution? Just two mornings or evenings a week, go for a 10-minute walk. If you can do that for a month, and be consistent, you will feel good about yourself, and you will notice the walk gets easier and you will walk farther in those 10 minutes the longer you keep it up. If you do well with the 10-minute commitment, then you can bump it up to 20 minutes. Don’t worry about walking for several miles a day; start slowly and work your way up.
On the days you don’t walk, you can stretch for 10 minutes. Don’t do anything too strenuous, but simply sit down on the floor and put your feet out in front of you and stretch to your toes. If you can’t touch your toes when you first start out, don’t worry. Do not strain your back–just gently try to reach further and further. Then stand up and reach for the sky, move your arms out wide from your hips, reach to the sides and gently arc up until your hands are over your head. Then take your arms and gently stretch them back behind you. This will increase circulation to your upper body. Stretch down and touch your toes, let your arms dangle for a few seconds, and then gently reach back up towards the sky.
If you start with eating better just once or twice a week, and exercising once or twice a week, those will likely be Resolutions you can keep. If you like the feeling you get, you will be inclined to gradually increase the number of times you eat better, and the amount of time you exercise. Even if you don’t do more, it’s better than doing nothing.
They say it takes 21 days to make a new habit. It is so much easier on your self-esteem to make new habits that don’t disrupt your whole routine. You will find that you feel better mentally, and when you feel better, you look better. If you are unhappy with your life, no amount of skin care, surgery or cosmetics are going to make you look happy and glowing.

Every year people make lofty New Year’s Resolutions that involve drastic changes to their lifestyles. Often, the resolutions are so restrictive people fall off the wagon a few times, and then they give up on them altogether. Well, I have a different idea.
Instead of making grand, sweeping New Year’s Resolutions this year, how about making a series of small, manageable steps? This site is about Natural Skin Care products and things you can do to make your skin look better and more youthful, and the things you can do for your skin almost always benefit your whole body and soul.
Start with something like this: fruits such as oranges, strawberries and blueberries are high in antioxidants. They are good for your skin as well as your overall health. If you prefer to have a more natural approach to skin care and good health, these are great foods to eat. What if, instead of a donut, a bagel, or a high-sugar cereal you had a small bowl of berries for breakfast with a slice of low-fat cheese? You don’t have to eat this type of meal every day–just promise yourself to do this twice a week. It is a small change, nothing drastic, not that hard to stick to, and if you do it every week, or even a few times a week, it will make a difference.
Another small change would be to substitute a salad for lunch one day a week. A drastic New Year’s Resolution would be, “I am going to eat nothing but salads for lunch every day!” The first time you break down and eat a cheeseburger, you are going to give up on that one. Instead, try this: “Once a week I will have a salad for lunch.” When you order the salad, don’t smother it in a high-fat dressing. Order the Italian-style light dressing, and a Ranch dressing on the side. If you have to use Ranch or some other more fattening dressing, mix the two together. It will be more fattening than if you ate only the low-fat Italian dressing, but still better than a large serving of high-fat Ranch dressing.
You can also be more aware of how much you are eating without trying to severely restrict your intake. Eat until you are full, and only put dressing on the parts of the salad you are eating. You can save the rest of the salad to have with your dinner if you like, or even to eat the next day. Just make a small change, one day a week.
If you aren’t in the habit of washing your face before you go to bed, then think about this: when you change your clothes after work, wash your face as well. At least that way you won’t be sleeping in your makeup and the grime from the day. Then, just rinse your face and use your Bonne Foi night tonic before bed.
Small Changes and Resolutions you can keep are better than making Commitments you won’t keep. If you make small changes, and begin to see results, you are more apt to keep them up, and make more small changes. All of those small changes will begin to add up!

I am a 56 year old male from Orange County, California. I have been using Bonne Foi Face Cleansing Gel for about five or six months now. I began using the product primarily because it is always in the shower and handy. (Don’t tell my wife. It is really hers!) I also spritz occasionally with the Cell Rejuvenation Tonic (That’s hers too.)
I have begun to notice that my skin is much softer and smoother to the touch than it has been in a long time. Now maybe it should not matter to a 56 year old male that his skin feels softer and smoother, but it seems like my skin has regained elasticity as well.
My skin feels more taut, and my face seems to have more definition around my cheek bones, and jaw line. I think it is OK for a man to appreciate having more chiseled features, isn’t it?

Do you ever watch those infomercials that are on in the wee hours of the night? They are about all kinds of products that are supposed to be miracles of sorts. If you simply exercise on them 30 minutes a day, you will lose 100 pounds and meet the mate of your dreams. When you use their skin care line, developed by a world-renowned Doctor and touted by an actress or model spokesperson, you will be free of wrinkles and your life will be forever changed.
So, to answer the question–at least according to the infomercials–good skin care may have a profound effect upon your life. We all know people who have struggled with bad skin, angry- looking acne, and very dry or very oily skin. While on the surface (pun intended) those are all things we should be able to take in stride, they are, in reality, conditions which can strongly influence how we interact with the world and how the world interacts with us.
The world loves beauty¸ and though beauty is indeed in “the eye of the beholder,” there are norms that most people have in their minds’ eye for what beauty is supposed to be. Women should have smooth skin, a clear, blemish free complexion and smaller, less visible pores. Men should have strong jawlines, no blemishes, and great smiles. When you present yourself to the world, no matter whether you are a man or woman, the ideal is clear, blemish free skin, with few lines and wrinkles. You need to have as many of these attributes as possible in order to gain favor in this world.
Bonne Foi natural skin care line, with its unique formula, has helped some people (both MEN and women) change how they look on the outside and how they view themselves from the inside. It has been a starting point for other big changes in their lives. Check back on the blog to see these stories over the next few weeks… and see if you can identify with them…
